Since foundation of iCD. GmbH in 1986 this service-oriented company has been focusing on consulting services and software development in the field of technical-scientific data handling and management. End of 2004 headwork-consulting GmbH was acquired and incorporated into iCD. GmbH, leading to a considerable expansion of the product portfolio. In January 2007 iCD. GmbH was converted into iCD. GmbH & Co. KG.
iCD. is a German company with its headquarter in Frechen-Königsdorf nearby to the city of Cologne. Here the complete application and system development takes place. Products of iCD. are sold world-wide by iCD. Vertriebs GmbH and local partners in foreign countries belonging to the Global Partner Network.
iCD. engages 40 full-time employees as well as a varying number of student assistants. Most of the permanent employees are graduated or have a doctoral degree in chemistry, physics, computer science and other natural sciences, and are experienced in the laboratory and LIMS environment since many years. The ability to work in teams is an essential requirement for our staff as the main business of iCD. is to focusing on the realization and implementation of often complex software projects. For each project eligible and experience-oriented project teams are put together (project manager, project controller, project staff).

iCD. has established a quality management system since 1992 which was certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 in September 1994. Current state is DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.

Job Training and further Education
The quality management system of iCD. contains plans for job training and further education of each employee. By means of internal and external trainings a constantly high level of qualification can be guaranteed for each employee with regard to his special fields of application.
As outlined in the iCD. Quality Management Handbook software solutions of our company are developed according to ISO, GxP regulations, and according to a life cycle compliant to the GAMP 5 guideline. This ensures for our customers that iCD. out-of-the box software solutions as well as customer-specific adaptations (customizations) are always validated. Consequently this ensures high level audit security for our customers!
